RGS Associates Expands Leadership to Hershey
We are pleased to announce that John D. Hershey, RLA, Client Manager/Associate has become a shareholder of RGS Associates, Inc. He is responsible for providing creative vision and leadership while effectively coaching a team of skilled professionals and ensuring exceptional client service. His successful designs for both public and private landscapes have garnered award recognition from local, state, and national organizations for their responsiveness to unique natural and man-made environments. Recent awards include the 2017 ‘Merit Award – Analysis and Planning Category’ from the Pennsylvania-Delaware Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for ‘Building on Strength – an Economic Development Plan for the City of Lancaster’, the 2016 ‘Planning Leadership Award’ from the Lancaster County Planning Commission for Lancaster’s Prince Street Pop-up Park, and the 2015 national ‘Top Stormwater & Erosion Control Project Award’ from Stormwater Solutions for the Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster’s green parking area.
Hershey joined RGS in 2011, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University. Locally, he volunteers with Lancaster’s Central Market Trust, the Lancaster County Community Foundation, and the Strasburg Heritage Society.
